About the Role

We are seeking a skilled butcher to join our client's team in the Hessle Road area. As a butcher, you will be responsible for preparing and cutting meat products to customer specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cut meat products according to customer requirements
  • Ensure the quality and freshness of all meat products and implement stock rotation
  • Assist customers with their meat selection and provide recommendations on cooking times, allergen information, and meal suggestions
  • Receive and inspect meat deliveries, ensuring accuracy and quality
  • Operate and maintain butcher equipment and knives
  • Maintain a clean and tidy work area, meeting safety and hygiene regulations
  • Wear Personal Protective Equipment at all times within the production area
Requirements
  • Previous experience as a butcher or in a similar role is preferred
  • Knowledge of different cuts of meat and meat preparation techniques
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision
  • Excellent knife skills and ability to operate machinery safely
