The ideal candidate is a qualified Quantity Surveyor with experience in cost estimation, contract management, and financial control within large-scale construction projects.
They hold RICS/CIOB certification, are proficient in cost management software, possess strong analytical and negotiation skills, and excel at collaborating with project teams to deliver on budget and timelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, feasibility studies, and establish budgets for proposed projects.
- Develop tender documents, contracts, bills of quantities, and manage procurement processes.
- Monitor project expenditures, ensure adherence to budgets, and provide regular financial progress reports.
- Value completed work, arrange payments, and prepare interim valuations and final accounts.
- Identify potential risks, conduct cost-benefit analyses, and develop mitigation strategies.
- Ensure all projects comply with relevant laws and regulations, provide advice on construction law and contractual issues.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.
- Proven experience in cost estimation, contract management, and cost control.
- Strong understanding of construction law and regulatory compliance.
- Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., CostX, Bluebeam, MS Excel).
- Ability to perform detailed cost analyses and develop accurate project budgets.
- Meticulous approach to monitoring project costs and ensuring financial accuracy.
- Proven ability to work effectively with diverse project teams and stakeholders.
