Contract Type:
Permanent.

Salary:
Starting from £60,000 annually + £5,000 Performance Bonus.


The Home Manager will oversee and direct the care team, ensuring that the highest standards of residential care are provided to children and young individuals.


This position demands a compassionate and committed leader capable of effectively managing care practices, fostering staff development, and ensuring adherence to all regulatory standards.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise the residential care team, offering guidance, support, and opportunities for professional growth.
  • Guarantee the provision of high-quality care tailored to the unique needs of each child and young person.
  • Collaborate with the education team and external professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Monitor and assess care practices, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards and organizational policies.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive atmosphere that enhances the well-being and development of all residents.
  • Manage the recruitment, training, and retention of care staff.
  • Engage closely with families, social workers, and other stakeholders to secure the best outcomes for each child.


Qualifications:

Relevant qualifications in social care, child care, or a related discipline (e.g., NVQ Level 5 in Health and Social Care) are essential.

Significant experience in a leadership capacity within a residential care environment for children and young people is required.

A strong understanding of mental health conditions, including Autism and Social, Emotional & Behavioral Difficulties, is crucial.

Demonstrated ability to manage complex and challenging behaviors is necessary.
