Job Summary

JBS Global Resourcing is seeking a highly experienced Project Controls and Instrumentation Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our project delivery team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of complex EC&I projects across our UK power station sites.

About the Role

  • Lead the development and implementation of project controls and instrumentation strategies to ensure project delivery on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, engineers, and technicians, to ensure effective project execution and delivery.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, resource plans, and cost estimates to ensure accurate project forecasting and reporting.
  • Implement and maintain effective project controls, including risk management, issue tracking, and change control.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to project teams on instrumentation and control systems, including design, installation, and commissioning.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including project sponsors, customers, and suppliers.

Requirements

  • Higher National Diploma or Degree in a Control & Instrumentation related discipline.
  • Proven experience in project controls and instrumentation, with a strong background in EC&I projects.
  • Excellent communication, planning, and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong technical knowledge of engineering, project management, and maintenance practices.
  • NEBOSH Certificate level or recognized equivalent in health, safety, and environmental legislation and standards.
  • Knowledge of current regulations and policy affecting the management and operations of process plant engineering assets, including Functional Safety (IEC61508/61511) and Cyber Security for Industrial and Control Systems (OG86).
  • Full and clean UK driving license.
