About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our Education Mental Health Support Team as a Trainee Educational Mental Health Practitioner. This is an exciting opportunity to work with children and young people, providing early intervention and support to improve their mental health and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver evidence-based early interventions to children and young people, working across educational settings and healthcare sectors.
  • Work closely with education staff to support children and young people in getting the right help at the right time.
  • Develop and implement whole school approaches to mental health, collaborating with the school community.
  • Participate in the delivery of training programmes for education settings and community services.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A diploma-level qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Proven academic record or previous learning or formal study in child development, wellbeing, or mental health.
  • Good solid basic literacy and numeracy qualifications at a minimum of level 2.
