We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Midwife to join our team at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust. As a Midwife, you will play a vital role in providing safe, clinically effective, and individualized care to women and birthing people throughout their pregnancy journey.
Key Responsibilities- Assess, develop, implement, and evaluate programs of care for patients assigned to you.
- Utilize the full skills of a midwife practitioner to a named caseload of women.
- Communicate effectively with multi-disciplinary professionals and agencies to ensure seamless care at a high standard.
- Take appropriate action to ensure the safety of patients, including delegation of patient care to midwives with the appropriate level of skill.
- Report any accidents/incidents to the Ward Manager/Team Leader and/or Supervisor of Midwives.
- Ensure that midwifery procedures/guidelines are implemented and maintained in accordance with the policies of the Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust and national guidance.
- Current, effective, and up-to-date registration with the UK Nursing and Midwifery Council.
- Proven experience in all areas of Midwifery Practice.
- Proven experience of delegation of workload when looking after a caseload.
- Able to work in a team, think clearly under pressure, and provide leadership and support to junior members of the team.
- Enthusiastic, assertive, and able to deal with exposure to bereavement and challenging behavior.
