The Role: Health and Safety Director
We are seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Health and Safety Director to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive health and safety strategies across all aspects of our operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and implementation of a robust health and safety management system that aligns with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and implement effective control measures to mitigate potential hazards.
- Provide guidance and training to employees on health and safety procedures, policies, and legislation.
- Investigate accidents and incidents promptly and thoroughly, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
- Monitor industry trends and best practices in health and safety, ensuring our strategies remain current and effective.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to integrate health and safety considerations into all project planning and execution phases.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Proven track record of success in a senior health and safety role within a construction or engineering environment.
- In-depth knowledge of relevant health and safety legislation, regulations, and standards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and mitigate risks effectively.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualification preferred.
