We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Teaching and Learning Assistant at Derbyshire County Council. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational and personal development of children with additional needs.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Provide individualized support to students with additional needs, promoting their social, emotional, and academic growth.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement effective learning plans.
  • Assist with lesson planning, preparation, and delivery, ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure seamless support and progress.
  • Contribute to the development of a positive and supportive school culture, fostering a sense of community and belonging.

**Requirements**

  • Hold a Teaching and Learning Assistant Level 2 qualification or above.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Ability to work flexibly as part of a team, prioritizing tasks and managing time efficiently.
  • Desirable experience working with children with ASD and ADHD, as well as experience of working with parents.
