Senior Structural Engineer Opportunity

An exciting position has opened for a Senior Structural Engineer to join a reputable consultancy.

This role involves providing expert consultancy services in the field of structures, particularly focusing on highway infrastructure including bridges, culverts, and retaining walls.

As part of the Structures team, your key responsibilities will include:


  • Overseeing the annual inspection program for structures.
  • Developing project scopes, producing briefs, designs, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Ensuring compliance with current technical standards and health and safety regulations.
  • Conducting structural analysis and assessments primarily through manual calculations.
  • Engaging with developers and their advisors to ensure structures meet required standards.
  • Managing project timelines and budgets effectively.
  • Communicating clearly in both written and verbal forms, including reporting on key issues.
  • Collaborating effectively as part of a team, whether in a leadership or supportive role.
  • Utilizing software tools, particularly Microsoft Office, proficiently.
  • Managing routes for abnormal loads through the designated area.
  • Possessing a valid UK driving license or demonstrating efficient travel capabilities to various sites.

Experience in highway structures is essential for this position.
