Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Autism Support Specialist to join our team at Academics Ltd. As an Autism Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in a mainstream primary school setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized support to students with ASD, focusing on their academic, social, and emotional needs.
- Develop and implement strategies to promote inclusive learning environments and support students with diverse learning styles.
- Collaborate with teachers, SENCO, and other support staff to ensure comprehensive support for students with ASD.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Behavior Support Plans (BSPs).
- Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance knowledge and skills in supporting students with ASD.
Requirements:
- Minimum Level 3 qualification in a relevant field (e.g., Special Education, Psychology, or related field).
- Experience working with students with ASD, preferably in a mainstream primary school setting.
- Strong understanding of ABA principles and practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
