JHE & Partners is seeking a skilled Payroll Officer to join their team on a permanent basis. As a Payroll Officer, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of customer monthly payroll operations, ensuring that each payroll process is executed in full.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of customer monthly payroll operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
  • Ensure staff members are paid correctly, in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Process maternity, paternity, and shared parental pay calculations in line with customer policies and expectations.
  • Update payroll systems with up-to-date rates, including pay rates, allowance values, pension deductions, NI rates, and tax thresholds.
  • Produce reports, analyzing and interpreting data to inform business decisions.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in payroll, preferably in the education sector.
  • Strong knowledge of HMRC requirements and payroll legislation.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
