The successful candidate will deliver a proficient and thorough reception and administrative service, along with information gathering for the Emergency Services, Acute Medical Unit, outpatient clinics, and Health Records.
This pivotal role serves as a central point of contact for numerous patients, family members, caregivers, and both internal and external professionals engaging with the Trust.
The responsibilities include providing booking and administrative support from the primary reception area or nurses' station within a bustling Emergency Services environment.
This position is a vital component of the multi-disciplinary team and necessitates adaptability and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
The individual is expected to operate autonomously, making informed decisions using their initiative.
REGULAR NIGHT SHIFTS ARE A REQUIREMENT FOR THIS POSITION.
Main Responsibilities
Coordinate and deliver administrative support at the nursing base in the Emergency Services for all clinical and nursing personnel.
Manage patient registration and booking, ensuring that all details are accurately recorded and updated promptly. Data integrity is of utmost importance.
Oversee the discharge or admission processing of all patients from the Emergency Services into the Trust's primary patient database.
Ensure that data collection is comprehensive and precise.
Maintain the medical case notes generated by the Emergency Services, ensuring that all pertinent notes, reports, and results are scanned into the patient's electronic record in a timely manner.

Experience & Knowledge Requirements

- NVQ Level III or equivalent experience in general administration.
