**Job Summary**
We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our New Build Conventional Island project. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the formation, leadership, and management of engineering teams, ensuring the successful delivery of Front End Engineering Delivery for major nuclear programs.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Lead engineering activities and ensure timely delivery of projects
- Approve Safety and Functional Requirements, ensuring compliance with industry standards
- Oversee the development and demonstration of Design Packages, aligning with project requirements
- Manage Model-Based System Engineering, ensuring accurate and reliable results
- Prepare and approve Technical Specifications, ensuring clarity and concision
- Monitor and report on project progress, identifying areas for improvement
- Manage Risk and Opportunity, ensuring proactive mitigation and optimization
- Develop and manage engineering teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation
- Identify and address training needs, ensuring team members have the necessary skills and expertise
**Requirements**
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- 10-15 years of experience in similar roles, with a focus on FEED and detailed design
- Proven leadership and integration skills, with experience in managing multi-disciplinary design teams
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to deliver quality output to time and budget
- Experience in Front End Engineering solutions, with a focus on New Build conventional Island projects
- System Engineering practitioner skills, with experience in managing sub-contracts and sub-contractors
