Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Group Leader - Mental Health Support Team. As a key member of our operational team, you will play a vital role in providing leadership and guidance to our Mental Health Support Teams (MHST) in partnership with schools and colleges.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Leadership and Guidance: Provide efficient, effective, and comprehensive leadership to the MHST, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to children and adolescents.
  2. Multi-Disciplinary Assessment and Treatment: Contribute to the assessment and treatment of children and adolescents with emotional and mental health problems, their carers/parents, and families.
  3. Service Development: Work collaboratively with the Operational Manager to develop and implement strategies to improve service delivery, ensuring compliance with NELFT and CQC standards.
  4. Operational Management: Support the Operational Manager with day-to-day running of the service, including recruitment, sickness, and Healthroster management.
  5. Autonomy and Professional Development: Act as an autonomous professional, fully registered with the appropriate professional or regulatory body, and take ownership of your professional development.
  6. COVID-19 Vaccination: We encourage all staff to ensure they have been double vaccinated and received their booster, as this provides the best defense against COVID-19 for our patients, staff, and their families.
  7. Service User Focus: Ensure a high-quality, timely, accessible, and evidence-based service is available to all service users who need it and who use the MHST.

Requirements:

  • Registered professional with the appropriate professional or regulatory body (e.g. HCPC, NMC).
  • Experience in a similar role or relevant operational management experience.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development.
