R&D Tax Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled R&D Tax Manager to join our Pro-Tax team. As a Manager, you will play a key role in providing bespoke advice on innovation incentives, including grants, R&D tax relief, and Patent Box, to our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Work closely with team members on engagements with clients, developing client relationships, project management, and advisory skills.
- Manage the delivery of advice to partners/directors for approval, balancing reviewing junior resources' output and preparing client reports.
- Get full exposure to client-facing communication, working on projects from initial engagement to submission of claims and defense under HMRC enquiry.
- Play a key role in the development of peers and junior colleagues, both technically and professionally.
- Science or technology background.
- Ability to understand and communicate highly technical scientific or technological concepts.
- Advanced Excel and Word skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A good team player.
- Experience of mentoring and developing more junior team members.
- Enthusiastic and willing to learn.
- Organised and motivated.
- A driven person who will take ownership of tasks and drive to completion.
- Ability to prioritise work.
- Ability to deliver work to an agreed timescale and budget.
- Ability to generate creative ideas for technical work and business development purposes.
- Ability to build personal rapport with clients and win their trust.
