- Position 1 - 34 hours per week

Position Overview
The role of an ESC Officer is both demanding and diverse, requiring strong organizational abilities and exceptional communication skills. You will interact with customers, internal teams, and external organizations to offer assistance during emergency situations. Proficiency in operating various computer systems, radios, and alarm equipment is essential.
Key operational areas include:
- Monitoring closed-circuit television (CCTV)
- Coordinating responses to the Home Emergency Alarms Response Service (HEARS)
- Handling out-of-hours inquiries from the public and external entities.
Your work will be conducted in a Control Room throughout your shifts (remote work is not an option for this position).
Daily Responsibilities
You will be stationed at the main offices and will follow a predetermined shift pattern that includes early, late, and night shifts.

Shift and Rota Details
ESC Officers are scheduled for 34 hours per week on a fixed shift pattern that encompasses evenings, weekends, and public holidays. The shift rota consists of 2 early shifts, 2 late shifts, and 2 night shifts, followed by 4 days off. This cycle repeats for 10 weeks, after which a flexible fortnight occurs, requiring you to be available for 9 assigned shifts over a 14-day span. These shifts will vary between early, late, and night depending on coverage needs for annual leave and sickness.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, dependable, and possess at least 5 GCSEs or an NVQ Level 3, along with 2 years of relevant experience. You will collaborate within a small, dynamic team to address various emergency situations that arise during your shifts, prioritizing tasks effectively with your shift partner.
Experience in public interaction and a strong ability to navigate Windows-based software are crucial. A high level of focus is necessary to swiftly assess and manage a range of issues as they emerge.
While having a Public Space CCTV Surveillance SIA license is preferred, candidates without it are still encouraged to apply.
An enhanced DBS Disclosure and Police Vetting Clearance will be mandatory for this role.
