About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Delivery Director to join our team at Binnies, a leading integrated environmental, engineering, and technical services business. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the delivery of significant capital investment projects, promoting growth, digital capabilities, and sustainable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, build, and delivery of the capital investment programme, ensuring each project is delivered on time and within budget.
  • Develop and implement cost reduction opportunities through AMP8 major investment projects.
  • Work collaboratively with senior stakeholders to manage and deliver their expectations.
  • Contribute as an SLT member to the AMP8 Strategic Planning.
  • Direct significant capital investment projects, promoting growth, digital capabilities, and sustainable solutions.
  • Lead integrated Delivery teams responsible for delivering a diverse program of wastewater (sewage) treatment, infrastructure (water and sewer pipelines) and water (treatment and storage) projects to achieve AMP8 objectives.
  • Innovate and develop industry-leading initiatives focusing on outcomes rather than outputs, reducing carbon, enhancing natural capital, addressing climate change, and embracing new digital technologies.
  • Build and maintain professional networks and partners within the @one alliance.
  • Manage the profit and loss for the portfolio.
  • Develop and grow relationship/partnerships with local and regional stakeholders, including EA, Defra, Local Planning Authorities, Councils, and other stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the strategic direction of @one working with Board of Directors and partner representatives.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in the delivery and operational planning of significant infrastructure projects.
  • Previous Director level experience.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to deliver long-term strategic plans aligned to business objectives in a collaborative environment.
  • Strong understanding of industry standards, business operations, and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience of the utilities sector assets preferable.
  • Proven experience in delivering high-value capital projects.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • Experienced with financial planning, budgeting, and headcount management.
  • Ability to anticipate and balance the needs of multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent interpersonal and networking skills, uses compelling arguments to gain the support and commitment of others.
