**Project Accountant Role at Exp Global Inc.**

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Accountant to join our Finance team at Exp Global Inc. in Brampton. As a Project Accountant, you will play a crucial role in managing financial aspects of projects, ensuring timely and accurate billing, and maintaining strong relationships with project managers and sector leads.

  • **Financial Project Coordination**: Effectively communicate with project managers and sector leads regarding contract documents, change orders, and other contract modifications, approvals, and additional services-related to billing.
  • **Budgeting and Forecasting**: Set up projects in Deltek and maintain budgets and backlogs throughout the project lifecycle.
  • **Invoicing and Billing**: Prepare final invoice packages containing draft and final invoices for all billable projects, including all applicable backup.
  • **Billing Optimization**: Assess and pursue opportunities for maximization of client billing; research any unbilled issues to optimize billing possibilities for the billing period.
  • **Financial Reporting**: Maintain the billing folders for all projects, with all the appropriate documents; investigate project variances and submit variance reports to management.
  • **Progress Project Reports**: Carry out progress project reports and provide the accounts payable team members with advice on client billing, relative to consultant invoicing and reimbursable expenses.
  • **Project Closure**: Close out projects upon completion and prepare special project analyses for sector leads, PMs, and billing management.
  • **Audit Support**: Compile information for internal and external audits, as required.
  • **Additional Assignments**: Perform additional assignments, as directed by the billing manager.

**Requirements**

  • University degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of accounting (AP/AR/Billing) knowledge.
  • Enrolled in CPA program is an asset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and computer applications.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced office and deadline-oriented.
  • Working knowledge of Deltek Vision software is a definite asset.
