About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Company Secretary to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our corporate governance function, you will play a vital role in ensuring the company adheres to statutory and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Board and Committee Servicing: Provide administrative support to the board and committees, including the Group Risk Committee (GRC) and regulated entity boards.
- Annual Report & Accounts: Take responsibility for certain sections of the Annual Report & Accounts and oversee the collation of information by junior team members.
- AGM Delivery: Work with the Company Secretariat Assistant to ensure the successful delivery of the Annual General Meeting (AGM).
- Subsidiary Accounts: Lead the annual subsidiary accounts process for UK regulated and other subsidiary entities.
- Share Schemes: Manage share schemes work.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders, acting as a source of information and effectively managing queries.
Requirements:
- Corporate Law and Governance: Possess a solid understanding of corporate law and governance.
- Organisational Skills: Demonstrate exceptional organisational skills.
- Experience: Previous experience in a similar role within a company operating in the listed sector or Financial Services sector is essential.
- Qualifications: A Chartered Governance Institute qualification (ICSA) or working towards it is advantageous.
