Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Archaeologist to support our growing Birmingham Team and to supervise fieldwork on projects of all scales. The ideal candidate will have experience of work at this level and be able to supervise teams on larger projects or lead teams on small-scale trenching jobs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise fieldwork on projects of all scales, either working independently on smaller jobs or leading teams on larger projects.
  • Support the writing up of reports, completing smaller scale reports, and making significant contributions to larger scale reporting.
  • Develop and maintain a working understanding of Harris Matrix software and interpret findings on site.
  • Collaborate with the project lead and wider team to deliver commercial archaeology projects.

Requirements

  • Practical experience supervising work on site.
  • Comprehensive awareness of Risk Assessment and keeping the team safe on site.
  • Experience delivering commercial archaeology.
  • A degree in Archaeology or equivalent experience.
  • Driving license.

Desirable Qualifications

  • CIfA Membership at PCIfA of ACIfA level.
  • SSSTS Qualification.
