Position Overview

We are seeking a Logistics Coordinator for a contract role. This position involves collaborating with our esteemed client, known for pioneering technologies that offer sustainable and efficient solutions to meet global energy demands.

Role Responsibilities

As a Logistics Coordinator, you will integrate into the client's teams, enhancing performance across the external supply chain.

  • Act as the primary liaison for delivery inquiries between external suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain an accurate demand schedule to ensure proper communication with suppliers and adherence to delivery commitments.
  • Identify potential risks related to supplier deliveries and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Lead Order Book Reviews to confirm suppliers possess the necessary capacity, materials, and production schedules to meet customer needs.
  • Conduct regular visits to suppliers to assess their status against agreed plans and pinpoint potential risks.
  • Collaborate with various departments to resolve issues affecting suppliers' delivery capabilities, including invoice processing, commercial disputes, and technical inquiries.
  • Develop and implement recovery plans for suppliers that are not meeting delivery timelines, utilizing appropriate planning and control tools.
Candidate Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Experience in planning, manufacturing, or supply chain management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, and familiarity with ERP systems, preferably SAP MRP, Production Planning, and Material Management.
  • An understanding of load and capacity planning.
  • Strong data analysis and decision-making abilities, with a comfort level in navigating ambiguity.
  • Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with all business areas, including internal and external stakeholders.
  • Membership in a relevant professional organization (e.g., APICS CPIM) is advantageous.
