Job Title: Depot Manager

We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Depot Manager to join our team at Brook Street UK Careers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure a safe and compliant work environment by implementing and maintaining health and safety protocols.
  • Oversee stock control and maintenance to optimize fleet performance.
  • Coordinate fuel loading and offloading processes to minimize downtime.
  • Liaise with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Manage health and safety matters, including risk assessments and incident reporting.
  • Manage site security to prevent unauthorized access.
  • Oversee vehicle movements to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Coordinate vehicle pickups, deliveries, and repairs to minimize delays.
  • Verify the functionality of systems and equipment before handing over to drivers for field testing.
  • Collaborate with external partners to ensure seamless operations.
  • Liaise with management and operational teams to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Validate and authorize timesheets to ensure accurate payroll processing.
  • Audit tacho records to ensure compliance with driving and working time regulations.

Requirements:

  • Strong organizational skills to manage the Huntly-based fleet, including administrative tasks and vehicle confirmations.
  • Strong people management skills to lead a team of depot staff.
  • Ideal candidate will have a CPC qualification.
  • Excellent communication skills to coordinate across the business with clients and suppliers.
  • Strong health and safety reporting background.
  • Good knowledge of transportation regulations and industry standards.

What We Offer:

A competitive salary up to £38k (based on experience) and a Monday to Friday role.
