Fire Engineer Assistant

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Assistant Fire Engineer to join our Cladding Remediation Team. The successful candidate will work closely with our Senior Fire Engineer to develop and implement fire engineering strategies for our cladding and building safety remediation projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the development of fire engineering strategies for cladding remediation and building safety projects.
- Assist in the review and assessment of fire risk assessments, FRAEWs, and EWS1 assessments.
- Collaborate with the Senior Fire Engineer to provide fire engineering guidance and support for the Group Technical function.
- Support the cladding remediation team in assessing remediation proposals and risk management.
- Ensure all fire engineering associated development activity complies with regulatory and statutory obligations.
Requirements:
- Degree in fire-related subject or equivalent experience.
- Membership of the Institute of Fire Engineers or other relevant professional organization.
- Strong understanding of fire engineering principles and performance-based designs.
- Knowledge of UK Building Regulations, fire-related British Standards, and EWS1 assessment process.
- Ability to think laterally and apply commercial best practice solutions.
