About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Parking Operations Manager to join our team at Coventry City Council. As a key member of our Parking Services management team, you will play a crucial role in the delivery and management of effective parking enforcement and car park management operations in Coventry.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience in the management of parking operations or a similar front-line service, together with an understanding of on-street and off-street parking regulations, policies, and procedures.

You will be responsible for supervising, motivating, and deploying a team of Civil Enforcement Officers (Traffic Wardens) while managing and overseeing all aspects of employee and team performance.

You will use a range of computerised back office systems to manage the enforcement and parking operations effectively.

You will be required to work a rotating shift pattern along with other teams to cover 7 days a week and 364 days a year. You will be paid an allowance in addition to your basic pay for this.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee the delivery of parking enforcement and car park management operations
  • Supervise and motivate a team of Civil Enforcement Officers (Traffic Wardens)
  • Use computerised back office systems to manage enforcement and parking operations
  • Work a rotating shift pattern to cover 7 days a week and 364 days a year
Requirements
  • Demonstrable experience in the management of parking operations or a similar front-line service
  • Understanding of on-street and off-street parking regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Excellent communication skills, people management, and customer service skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances
