Babcock International Group is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer to join our team in Bristol. As a key member of our systems engineering team, you will play a critical role in expanding our systems engineering capability with our vehicle business.

The Role

As a Principal Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for leading systems engineering activities to ensure vehicles are deployed at the desired level of performance to our customers and meet all applicable regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and manage system requirements and ensure traceability throughout the development process
  • Provide technical guidance throughout the project lifecycle
  • Develop and maintain system-level documentation
  • Manage risk and identify mitigation strategies to address technical challenges
  • Conduct reviews and audits of system engineering to verify compliance

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Good level of systems engineering experience
  • Ideally have experience of leading systems engineering activities
  • Background in Automotive and/or defence industry advantageous

Qualifications:

You will need:

  • HNC / HND or Degree in relevant engineering subject

Security Clearance:

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
