Job Title: Principal Systems Engineer

At Babcock International Group, we're working to create a safe and secure world, together. As a Principal Systems Engineer, you'll play a key role in expanding our systems engineering capability with our vehicle business.

The Role

As a Principal Systems Engineer, you'll be responsible for leading systems engineering activities to ensure vehicles are deployed at the desired level of performance to our customers and meet all applicable regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and manage system requirements and ensure traceability throughout the development process
  • Provide technical guidance throughout the project lifecycle
  • Develop and maintain system-level documentation
  • Manage risk and identify mitigation strategies to address technical challenges
  • Conduct reviews and audits of system engineering to verify compliance

Requirements

  • Good level of systems engineering experience
  • Ideally have experience of leading systems engineering activities
  • Background in Automotive and/or defence industry advantageous

Qualifications

  • HNC / HND or Degree in relevant engineering subject

Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
