We are seeking a proactive and highly skilled Senior Capital Projects Coordinator to enhance our accomplished projects division. This role involves steering the execution of diverse projects throughout the organization.

About Our Division

Our capital projects division is responsible for overseeing both clinical and non-clinical renovation and construction initiatives across the organization. We achieve this by offering support and direction to key project stakeholders, ensuring their needs for strategic transformation are met at every project phase, while translating these requirements into outstanding built environments for healthcare.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, the Senior Capital Projects Coordinator will leverage their expertise to manage projects at all stages across the organization, engaging with and assisting both internal and external stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

You will oversee design teams, manage financial and scheduling aspects of projects, provide guidance on funding and necessary approvals, and take charge of projects from initiation to operational handover.

Ensuring adherence to all project protocols, you will establish and maintain efficient project administrative systems in alignment with organizational policies and procedures, thereby delivering a compliant and professional project management service.

A strong customer service orientation and a collaborative mindset are essential for success in this role.

Experience

Essential Criteria

• Proven experience in the implementation of construction and built environment projects, encompassing both in-house design and project management of consultant design teams, including conversion, refurbishment, and new build projects. • Demonstrated success in managing large capital projects to completion within budget and timeline. • Experience in a multi-disciplinary project management setting. • Familiarity with standard contract forms and budgetary oversight in the public sector.

• Project experience within the healthcare sector.

• Proficient in developing and managing complex project schedules. • Ability to cultivate respected, trusted, and constructive relationships across various agencies and professional groups. • Understanding of structured delivery methodologies and the ability to apply these in successful project execution. • Capacity to lead and effectively resolve conflicts to achieve objectives within budget and time constraints.

Knowledge

Essential Criteria

• Comprehensive technical knowledge of construction and engineering project delivery. • Solid understanding of minor, intermediate, and standard contract forms, legislation, and budgetary management. • Extensive knowledge of financial management for capital projects, including change management. • Familiarity with interpreting project planning tools. • In-depth knowledge of statutory project requirements, including CDM Regulations and other HSE directives.

Qualifications

Essential Criteria

• A first degree in construction, engineering, building surveying, or another built environment specialty, such as building services. • Evidence of continuing professional development and a commitment to lifelong learning.

Desirable Criteria

• Membership in a relevant Chartered Institute or working towards membership.
