We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Senior Capital Projects Coordinator to enhance our proficient projects division. In this role, you will be instrumental in steering the execution of diverse projects throughout the organization.

Our capital projects division is responsible for overseeing the execution of both clinical and non-clinical refurbishment and new construction initiatives. We achieve this by offering guidance and support to essential project stakeholders, ensuring their needs for strategic transformation are met across all locations and project phases. Key Responsibilities

Your Role

The Senior Capital Projects Coordinator will leverage their expertise to manage projects at all stages across all organizational sites, engaging with and assisting both internal and external stakeholders in project delivery.

You will oversee design teams, manage project finances and timelines, provide advice and support for funding and other approvals, and take charge of leading projects through to handover and operational readiness.

It is essential to ensure adherence to all project processes, establish and maintain efficient project administrative systems in line with organizational policies and procedures, thereby delivering a compliant and professional project management service.

A strong commitment to customer service and a collaborative mindset are crucial.

Experience

Essential Criteria

• Proven experience in implementing construction and built environment projects, including in-house design and management of consultant design teams, covering conversion, refurbishment, and new build projects. • Demonstrated experience in successfully managing large capital projects within budget and on schedule. • Background in a multi-disciplinary project management setting. • Familiarity with standard forms of contract and budgetary oversight in the public sector.

Desirable Criteria

• Project experience within the healthcare sector.

• Ability to develop and manage intricate project schedules. • Capability to establish respected, trusted, and constructive relationships across various agencies and professional groups. • Understanding of structured delivery methodologies and the ability to apply these in successful project execution. • Proficiency in leading and effectively resolving conflicts to achieve objectives within budget and time constraints.

Knowledge

Essential Criteria

• Comprehensive technical knowledge of construction and engineering project delivery. • Solid understanding of minor, intermediate, and standard forms of contract, legislation, and budgetary management. • Extensive knowledge of financial management for capital projects, including change management. • Familiarity with interpreting project planning tools. • Detailed understanding of statutory project requirements, including relevant regulations and directives.

Qualifications

• A first degree in construction, engineering, building surveying, or a related built environment discipline. • Evidence of continuing professional development and a commitment to lifelong learning.

Desirable Criteria

• Membership in a relevant Chartered Institute or pursuit of membership.
