Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Cafe Supervisor to lead our on-site cafe team at Exeter School. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the cafe, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining high standards of hygiene and food safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and lead the cafe team to deliver high-quality service and a welcoming atmosphere for students, staff, and visitors.
  • Manage stock levels, including ordering and inventory control, to minimize waste and enhance profitability.
  • Develop and update the cafe menu in collaboration with team members to incorporate seasonal ingredients and student preferences.
  • Maintain strong communication with school staff, students, and parents to foster a community-focused cafe environment.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and food safety standards.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a supervisory role within a cafe or hospitality setting.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Passion for customer service and a friendly, approachable manner.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
