We are pleased to announce an exciting opportunity for highly motivated and enthusiastic registered nurses to join our Learning Disability service within NHS Scotland.
The successful candidates will be able to display excellent communication skills, organisational skills and the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver a therapeutic model of care within our dynamic in-patient Assessment and Treatment service.
The key responsibilities of this role include:
- Delivering person-centred care to individuals with learning disabilities and co-morbid mental health issues or physical health needs.
- Working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualised care plans.
- Providing training and support to colleagues to ensure high-quality care is delivered.
- Participating in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
A flexible approach to work is essential to ensure that care is delivered in a timely and effective manner. Previous experience in a similar role would be advantageous, although the post is open to newly qualified nurses.
The successful candidate will be required to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme. NHS Scotland is committed to promoting equality and diversity and welcomes applications from all sections of society.
