Job Title: Children in Care Social Worker

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Qualified Social Worker to join our Children in Care Team within the Social Care industry in Bristol City Council. The successful candidate will be working in a well-structured, organised team who are growing their social worker staffing levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting Initial Assessments and Core Assessments to ensure the best possible outcomes for children and families.
  • Leading Looked After Children (LAC) Reviews to ensure the child's needs are met and their voice is heard.
  • Providing evidence in court to support the child's best interests.
  • Managing a varied caseload of children and families, providing support and guidance to ensure their needs are met.
  • Preparing and presenting Court Reports to ensure the child's voice is heard.
  • Conducting Section 47 Enquiries to ensure the child's safety and well-being.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to be a Qualified Social Worker with a HCPC Registration and educated to Degree Level. You will also need to have an excellent knowledge of therapeutic approaches, relevant legislation, national policy, and initiatives, as well as experience working with Children and Families. Additionally, you will need to have the Eligibility to Work in the UK and previous experience within a Children's Safeguarding or Child Protection Team.
