An exciting opportunity has emerged to become a part of our innovative Adult Social Care Occupational Therapy Team, which serves the picturesque region of Bath and its surroundings.

Our team comprises dedicated and supportive Occupational Therapists and Assistants who are committed to delivering exceptional service. This position offers a hybrid work model, combining office attendance with remote work.

Your Responsibilities

As a Social Care Occupational Therapist, your daily tasks will be diverse and rewarding, including:

  • Conducting assessments for adults with complex and long-term physical disabilities in their homes to prevent, mitigate, or postpone the need for care.
  • Recommending minor and major home modifications.
  • Evaluating the need for basic and specialized equipment to enhance independence and safety at home.
  • Performing moving and handling risk assessments while promoting single-handed care whenever feasible.
  • Executing postural management and seating evaluations.
  • Assessing applications for re-housing.
  • Providing oversight for occupational therapy aides.
  • Mentoring OT students and apprentices.

About You

You are a qualified occupational therapist with at least two years of experience in Health or Adult Social Care, holding HCPC registration.

You possess a solid understanding of the legislation relevant to social care practices.

Your communication and organizational skills are exemplary.

A valid driver's license is essential due to the nature of the role.
