Your Responsibilities

As a Social Care Occupational Therapist, your daily tasks will be diverse and rewarding, including:

• Conducting assessments for adults with complex and long-term physical disabilities in their homes to prevent, reduce, or delay the need for care.
• Recommending both minor and major home modifications.
• Evaluating needs for simple and specialized equipment to enhance independence and safety at home.
• Performing moving and handling risk assessments while promoting single-handed care when feasible.
• Executing postural management and seating evaluations.
• Assessing applications for re-housing.
• Supervising occupational therapy aides.
• Supporting OT students and apprentices.

About You

You are a qualified occupational therapist with at least two years of experience in Health or Adult Social Care, holding HCPC registration.

You possess a solid understanding of the legislation relevant to social care practices.

Your communication and organizational skills are exceptional.

A valid driver's license is essential due to the nature of the role.
