An exciting opportunity has emerged to become a vital member of our innovative Adult Social Care Occupational Therapy Team, serving the picturesque areas of Bath and its surroundings.
Our team is composed of dedicated OTs and OTAs who are committed to delivering exceptional service. Your Responsibilities
As a Social Care Occupational Therapist, your daily tasks will be diverse and rewarding, including:
- Conducting assessments for adults with complex and long-term physical disabilities in their homes to prevent, reduce, or delay the need for care.
- Recommending both minor and major home modifications.
- Evaluating needs for simple and specialized equipment to enhance independence and safety at home.
- Performing moving and handling risk assessments while promoting single-handed care when feasible.
- Executing postural management and seating evaluations.
- Assessing applications for re-housing.
- Supervising occupational therapy aides.
- Supporting OT students and apprentices.
About You
You are a qualified occupational therapist with at least two years of experience in Health or Adult Social Care, holding HCPC registration.
You possess a solid understanding of the legislation relevant to social care practices.
Your communication and organizational skills are exceptional.
A valid driver's license is essential due to the nature of the role.
