About The Role

First Aid Trainer

Location: London

Hours: per week excluding travel (Monday to Friday with occasional weekend and evening working)

Contract: Permanent

Salary: £, to £, (depending on qualifications) per annum based on hours per week

Driving: Full UK Driving Licence required and access to a vehicle. Mileage paid.


Deliver Life-Saving Skills

As a First Aid Trainer with the British Red Cross, you will play a vital role in delivering first aid training and specialist courses, teaching life-saving skills to individuals and communities. You will be responsible for creating a supportive and engaging learning environment, where individuals feel confident to provide potentially lifesaving support in an emergency.


Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver first aid training and specialist courses, teaching life-saving skills.
  • Teach the right action to take in different situations, for example when people may be unresponsive or suffered burns.
  • Support people with their confidence to provide potentially lifesaving support in an emergency.
  • Travel to training venues across the London area.


Requirements

  • Engaging personality; strong communicator, confident speaking in front of groups of people.
  • Love listening to others, coming up with solutions to problems, contesting opinions and giving feedback.
  • Training or Teaching qualification, or prepared to work towards one.
  • Experience of preparing and delivering a range of training courses, and assertive in presenting to mixed ability groups.
  • Comfortable working on your own and can travel to a range of training venues.
  • IT literate.
