Children's Occupational Therapy Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Children's Occupational Therapy Technician to join our team at Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to children and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Assess, implement, and evaluate occupational therapy interventions for children with physical, sensory, communication, and cognitive needs.
- Work collaboratively with occupational therapists to develop and deliver individualized treatment plans.
- Provide support and guidance to children, families, and carers to promote independence and participation.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of a safe and inclusive environment for children and families.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care and support.
- Training to NVQ level 3 or equivalent.
- Additional CPD courses relevant to the role, equivalent to Diploma level.
- Functional Skills at Level 2 (Literacy and numeracy/GCSE grade A-C or equivalent in English and Maths).
- Working knowledge of typical child development.
- Understanding of SEN/D process.
- Awareness of professional issues and recent developments in the NHS and Primary Care.
