Heavy Goods Vehicle Operator Opportunity

The Recruitment Co. is seeking a skilled Heavy Goods Vehicle Operator to become part of our dynamic team. In this role, you will be tasked with the secure and efficient delivery of goods across various destinations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform thorough pre-trip vehicle inspections to ensure operational readiness
  • Safely and accurately load and unload cargo
  • Strategically plan delivery routes to ensure punctual arrivals
  • Maintain accurate delivery documentation and records
  • Adhere to traffic regulations and safety protocols
  • Keep in communication with dispatch for real-time updates
  • Deliver exceptional customer service at all times

Qualifications

  • Possession of a valid Heavy Goods Vehicle license with at least 2 years of driving experience
  • Prior experience in multi-drop deliveries is preferred
  • Familiarity with vehicle maintenance and inspection procedures
  • Knowledge of local traffic regulations
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to plan effectively
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Capacity to work independently and efficiently
  • Physical fitness to handle lifting tasks

Compensation

Competitive pay structure: £15.89 per hour for the first 10 hours, increasing to £17.72 per hour thereafter.
