About the Role

In this role, you will lead a campaign to develop and secure opportunities for Roke in the high barrier-to-entry, strategic services and enablers space. You will define and own the development of the campaign strategy, own the full sales lifecycle, and ensure our clients are fully aware of Roke's capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactive business development from requirements identification, capture and shaping through to order closure.
  • Internal and external stakeholder management to drive successful sales outcomes through the full sales lifecycle.
  • Develop, owning and managing a rolling 5-year forecast to accurately deliver Order Intake for future business planning.
  • Identifying and executing partnering strategies in support of campaign objectives, securing win-win positions with our partners.
  • Align with delivery project teams to enable project mobilisation, stakeholder management and contract changes.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

We are looking for an experienced professional with a proven track record of working within the procurement cycle for large-scale (£20m+) and complex projects with UK Ministry of Defence. You will have a strong understanding of UK MoD, organisations and structures, and how to align them to products and services.

Essential

  • Experience of working within the procurement cycle for large-scale (£20m+) and complex projects with UK Ministry of Defence.
  • Proven ability to demonstrate integrity and build organisational trust with customers and partners, building relationships for the long term.
  • Knowledge of UK MoD, organisations and structures, and how to align them to products and services.

Desirable

  • A proven track record of Bidding and Winning large-scale (£20m+) and complex projects with UK Ministry of Defence.
  • An understanding of how UKStratCom procures Strategic Services and R&D.
  • Experience working in Service-oriented contracting models.
  • Experience working in bidding frameworks and bidding tasks on frameworks.
  • An existing network of contacts in MoD Strategic Services and credible industry ecosystem.
  • Experience of acting as Capture Lead on major complex captures.

Clearances

Due to the nature of this role, we require you to be eligible to achieve DV Clearance. As a result, you must be a Sole British national by birth and have been resident in the UK for the last 10 years.
