Are you skilled in analyzing scientific information and possess the meticulous attention to detail necessary for spotting discrepancies? A prominent scientific publishing firm is seeking two Editorial Scientists to enhance their journals editorial team.

In this pivotal position, the Editorial Scientist will be tasked with refining scientific and technical manuscripts and will participate in the peer review process, assessing the quality and integrity of submitted works. The company offers a flexible working model, allowing for a combination of in-office and remote work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Editing manuscripts for clarity and coherence (Training will be provided in the company’s editorial standards).
  • Verifying factual accuracy and addressing inquiries.
  • Evaluating authors' responses to editorial feedback.
  • Participating in the peer review process, including identifying issues related to plagiarism, ethical considerations, and data integrity.
  • Collaborating with the broader scientific community and internal departments.

Qualifications:

  • PhD in biological sciences (Essential).
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Capability to produce high-quality work under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain relevant scientific knowledge.
  • Proficient IT skills.
  • Experience in editorial or publishing roles is advantageous, though training in copy-editing will be provided.
