Job Overview


An outstanding opportunity is available for a proficient Maintenance Electrician to become part of a prominent Facilities Management organization operating in the Brighton region.
The ideal applicant will possess a robust electrical expertise and hold relevant electrical certifications such as NVQ/SVQ Level 3 in electrical installations or maintenance, along with the 18th Edition qualification as a minimum requirement.
This position involves collaborating with a team at various retail locations in the area, performing a variety of building maintenance tasks. The primary objective of this role is to execute both planned and reactive maintenance on electrical and mechanical systems.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist fellow technicians with both major and minor maintenance tasks.
  • Fulfill all necessary Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance schedules within designated timelines, ensuring all required documentation is completed accurately.
  • Prioritize and accomplish minor maintenance and repair tasks within agreed timeframes.
  • Ensure that all tools and equipment needed for minor maintenance and repairs are consistently available and in good working condition.
  • While primarily assigned to a specific area for PPM completion, there may be occasions when the technician is required to attend other sites within the cluster to perform work.
  • Collaborate with company and client colleagues to maintain established quality standards at all times.
  • Represent the organization professionally and foster positive working relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Complete all tasks in alignment with specific Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Accurately monitor and update the Mercury system, ensuring real-time job updates from yourself and your team at all times.


Qualifications Required:
NVQ/SVQ Level 3 in electrical installations / parts 1 & 2
Or recognized apprenticeship equivalent
18th Edition
Compensation and Benefits:
Basic Salary - £35,842.56 plus £2,535 standby payments, totaling £38,376.94
Paid Travel Time
Overtime rates: 1.5x Monday to Friday, 2x Saturday and Sunday
