Job Title: Senior Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team at First Recruitment Group. As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for managing the delivery of engineering and technical activities, ensuring the highest standards of health and safety, and providing technical leadership to the team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the delivery of engineering and technical activities, ensuring timely and within-budget completion.
  • Provide technical leadership to the team, coaching and mentoring junior engineers to develop their skills and knowledge.
  • Ensure the highest standards of health and safety are maintained, adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects, ensuring effective communication and coordination.
  • Develop and maintain technical reports, calculations, and designs, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
Requirements:
  • Engineering degree (or equivalent qualification) in a relevant discipline, with significant demonstrable experience.
  • Proven track record of managing engineering projects, with experience in working collaboratively in multi-discipline teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interface with other disciplines.
  • Desirable: Member of a relevant institute, or significant demonstrable engineering experience and capable of registration with the Engineering Council.
