Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for delivering project objectives in line with the project execution plan. You will lead and supervise project teams and stakeholders to achieve strategic project key performance indicators (KPIs).
Key Responsibilities
- Determine project management, technical services, and external resources required for projects.
- Deliver project objectives in line with the project execution plan, leading and supervising project teams and relevant stakeholders to achieve strategic project KPIs.
- Monitor and actively engage in health, safety, and well-being aspects of projects at all stages.
- Prepare and modify project plans as necessary, keeping them updated and relevant over the course of the project.
- Oversee project timeframes and project budgets, ensuring budgets are managed diligently and highlighting any risks, challenges, and mitigations.
- Collaborate with relevant parties and stakeholders, ensuring robust quality systems are in place and suitably managed and monitored.
- Lead relevant meetings, providing relevant parties with contextual information and analysis where required, and ensure site walks are suitably recorded.
- Partner with relevant stakeholders and actively involved in risk management.
- Effectively coordinate and communicate with all project parties and stakeholders, ensuring completion of responsibilities and tasks, and ensuring suitable standards and records are recorded and maintained.
- Document and take ownership of project changes as necessary, tracking project changes.
- Work collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition, and share responsibility for the proactive identification and management of associated carbon emissions and reductions during the delivery of work.
Requirements
- Substantial previous work experience in project management (or equivalent).
- MCIOB/MAPM/MRICS (or working towards) or local equivalent.
- Tertiary qualifications in related (project management and/or construction-related discipline), non-related degree or equivalent professional experience/apprenticeship, combined with a demonstrable intermediate level of role knowledge.
- Appropriate Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) card or equivalent.
- Proven experience in project management, managing small to medium-sized projects.
- Developed communication, presentation, and project planning and development skills.
- Developed budgetary oversight expertise.
- Advanced proficiency in communicating, coordinating activities, and collaborating with stakeholders.
- Proven understanding of project management methodologies and practices.
- Display strong communication and negotiation skills to support the client/customer focus.
- Proactively manage internal budgets and fees, delivering agreed outcomes.
- Proficient knowledge and expertise in specific industry/sector/market of project/role.
- Relevant technical qualification/certification for project portfolio/s.
- Sound technical expertise in health and safety executive (HSE) rules and specific sector/market regulations relevant to the project portfolio.
- Knowledge of relevant industry/sector/markets and understanding of required specialism/s.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prince2 (or alternative local equivalent).
- Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) or local equivalent.
- Knowledge of consultancy, construction, infrastructure, and property sectors/markets and an understanding of estimating, scheduling, contracts administration, procurement, commercial controls, and reporting.
