Job Description

Michael Page Finance is seeking a highly skilled Financial Risk Officer to join our team in South Wales. As a Financial Risk Officer, you will play a crucial role in managing financial risk within the company, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing training and support to team members on risk management practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Risk Management: Oversee and manage financial risk within the company, identifying and mitigating potential risks to ensure business continuity.
  • Risk Assessment and Reporting: Conduct thorough risk assessments and produce analytical reports to inform business decisions and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Compliance and Governance: Work closely with the Accounting & Finance department to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Training and Development: Provide training and support to team members on risk management practices, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
  • Regulatory Liaison: Liaise with regulatory bodies as required, ensuring the company remains up-to-date with industry trends and regulations.
  • Strategic Planning: Participate in strategic planning and decision-making, providing expert advice on risk management and compliance.
Requirements:
  • Education: A degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • Experience: Proven experience in a similar role within the Financial Services industry.
  • Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, strong knowledge of risk management practices and regulatory requirements, exceptional communication skills, and proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
