Imperial Consulting Retail Sales Assistant Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Retail Sales Assistant to join our dynamic team in Glasgow. As a Retail Sales Assistant, you will be the face of our company, interacting directly with customers to understand their needs and provide exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with customers to understand their needs and provide product information and recommendations.
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets through effective selling techniques and a strong understanding of our product offerings.
  • Assist in maintaining an inviting retail environment by organizing merchandise and ensuring shelves are stocked and displays are visually appealing.
  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly and professionally, ensuring customer satisfaction at all times.
  • Participate in promotional events and campaigns, actively promoting our brand and products to drive customer engagement and sales.
  • Keep up-to-date with product knowledge, industry trends, and competitor offerings to effectively communicate benefits to customers.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve collective sales goals and maintain a positive work atmosphere.
  • Track and report sales metrics, providing insights into customer preferences and sales performance to help inform future strategies.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Full and unrestricted right to work in the UK.
  • Must be able to work full-time and demonstrate a flexible approach to working hours.
  • Must not have applied for any Imperial Consulting roles in the past 30 days.
  • Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is advantageous, but not required; a positive attitude and willingness to learn are essential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with customers and understand their needs.
  • Strong sales orientation and a desire to achieve targets and deliver exceptional service.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment while also taking initiative independently.
  • Understanding that we do not do digital marketing; this role will focus on traditional retail sales techniques and face-to-face customer interactions.
