We are in search of a dynamic and innovative Transport Planner who possesses the expertise necessary to execute services in accordance with company protocols and client service level agreements.


This organization is well-regarded for its exceptional customer service, compelling value proposition, and industry-leading standards in supply chain management.

They are looking for a Transport Planner to join a high-performing team at a depot that caters to various retail clients.

The role involves working Monday to Friday with rotating shifts of 9am-6pm and 12pm-9pm.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the transport planning operations to guarantee the timely, efficient, and cost-effective distribution of goods.
  • Allocate resources, organize schedules, and ensure comprehensive planning is established to meet agreed service levels.
  • Input daily KPI data, prepare delivery documentation, and address any inquiries.
  • Report incidents and vehicle damages.
  • Ensure compliance with transport legislation from a planning standpoint.
  • Oversee the workload for third-party logistics transport.

Essential Skills/Experience:

  • We are seeking a transport planning expert with operational experience in a high-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in modern transport planning tools is essential. A commitment to continuous improvement and a drive to enhance operational efficiencies and fleet performance while reducing costs is crucial.
  • Strong understanding of relevant transport regulations.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a FMCG transport setting.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
