Cavendish Nuclear is a leading player in the UK nuclear industry, and we're seeking a highly skilled Principal EC&I Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you'll play a critical role in delivering complex projects and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our nuclear facilities.

The Role

As a Principal EC&I Engineer, you'll be responsible for managing the delivery of engineering and technical activities, including:

  1. Leading the development of engineering and technical solutions to meet customer requirements.
  2. Ensuring the application of relevant procedures, codes, and standards to engineering and technical activities.
  3. Providing technical guidance and support to colleagues and stakeholders.
  4. Carrying out technical investigations and analysis to identify and resolve problems.
  5. Producing and reviewing technical reports, specifications, and method statements.

This is a full-time role, with opportunities to work from our Preston or Warrington sites, or from home as part of our hybrid working arrangement.

Essential Experience and Qualifications
  • Proven experience in electrical and instrumentation engineering, with a strong understanding of relevant procedures, codes, and standards.
  • Demonstrable leadership and technical skills, with the ability to manage complex projects and teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interface with customers, stakeholders, and colleagues.

Security Clearance: The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
