Restaurant Operations Manager

Reports to Franchise Owner

We are seeking an individual with a minimum of 2 years' experience in a supervisory or managerial role within a fast food environment.

Position Overview

As the leader of the establishment, you will be responsible for upholding food quality standards, delivering exceptional service, and ensuring the cleanliness and overall condition of the restaurant. You will be accountable for achieving sales and profitability targets while managing operational costs effectively, all while ensuring a positive guest experience. Your role will involve motivating your team and fostering a professional and enjoyable work atmosphere that encourages repeat visits.

Key Responsibilities

Drive Operational Excellence:

  • Oversee and manage all aspects of the restaurant's operations.
  • Ensure that guest service consistently exceeds company standards, maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Address guest complaints promptly and take appropriate measures to resolve issues.
  • Guarantee that the highest quality of food products is served.
  • Organize and supervise shifts to maximize both team and guest satisfaction.
  • Train and develop team members through structured training and ongoing operational feedback.
  • Evaluate team performance and provide constructive feedback to enhance productivity.
  • Estimate consumption, forecast needs, and manage stock inventory to minimize waste.
  • Monitor compliance with food safety and health regulations.
  • Control costs and minimize waste to maximize restaurant profitability.
  • Promote and enhance the brand's visibility.
  • Foster a positive work environment and lead by example.
  • Oversee all restaurant operations and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Take charge of financial aspects, including sales growth and cost management.
  • Analyze and strategize for restaurant sales and profitability.
  • Organize marketing initiatives, such as promotional events and discount programs.
  • Prepare reports at the end of shifts/weeks, covering team performance, food management, and sales metrics.
  • Develop and execute plans for sales growth, restaurant profitability, and staff development.
  • Set budgets and collaborate with the franchise owner for approval.
  • Coordinate all operational aspects during scheduled shifts.
  • Manage team welfare and provide regular feedback.
  • Ensure all employees adhere to company uniform standards.
  • Welcome guests and manage table reservations.
  • Supervise the shifts of kitchen, dining, and counter staff.
  • Maintain high standards of quality control, hygiene, and health and safety.
  • Monitor stock levels and order supplies as needed.
  • Prepare cash drawers and manage petty cash as required.
  • Assist in various areas of the restaurant as needed.
  • Encourage teamwork, cooperation, and a positive attitude within the workplace.
  • Complete all necessary daily reports at the end of each shift.
  • Attend training sessions or meetings as required.
  • Perform any additional duties as assigned by the Operations Manager based on business needs.
  • Ensure the security of the restaurant.
  • Collaborate with supervisors to manage stock deliveries and maintain accurate records.
  • Work closely with the franchise owner to ensure accurate monthly accounts and timely delivery administration.
  • Manage the restaurant's inventory management system.
  • Ensure stock storage areas are secure, organized, and clean.
  • Collaborate with supervisors to achieve tight stock control and budgeted margins.
  • Monitor daily ordering to maintain stock levels and timely orders.
  • Greet customers and exemplify exceptional customer service.
  • Oversee the training of restaurant staff, including conducting annual performance reviews.
  • Lead efforts to maintain high food quality standards.
  • Support supervisors and colleagues during peak times and undertake necessary operational duties.
  • Ensure the team is well-groomed and ready for work.
  • Adhere to legal responsibilities and requirements associated with the business.
  • Maintain a local authority food safety certificate, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Possess a solid understanding of all equipment and ensure preventative maintenance is performed.

Qualifications

A qualified candidate for the position of Restaurant Operations Manager should possess excellent communication skills and demonstrate enthusiasm for teamwork. Additionally, the following attributes are highly desirable:

  • Proven experience as a Restaurant Manager.
  • Demonstrated background in customer service management.
  • Extensive knowledge of food products.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Familiarity with restaurant management software.
  • Strong leadership, motivational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Financial management capabilities.
