About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Gas Inspector to join our team at Capita. As a Gas Inspector, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and compliance of gas installations across the UK.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough inspections of gas installations to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
- Collaborate with registered businesses to address identified defects and ensure timely resolution.
- Prepare detailed inspection reports to document findings and recommendations.
- Take appropriate action when unsafe gas work is discovered during inspections.
- Manage consumer expectations and address registered business expectations effectively.
Requirements:
- Valid ACS certificates, including CCN1, CENWAT1, CKR1, CPA1, HTR1.
- Additional ACS certificates in LPG, Non-Domestic & Catering, LAU1, and DAH1 are highly desirable.
- Auditor qualification (D32/A1) or equivalent are desirable.
- Experience working with various gas appliances or quality control of gas work.
- Understanding of Health & Safety, Building Regulations, related codes and normative documents.
- Ability to risk assess environments.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development (CPD).
- Understanding of challenges faced by gas, plumbing, electrical, and H&V installation businesses.
- Proficiency in using tools and conducting relevant tests during inspections.
