Job Title: Plastering Repairs Technician

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Plastering Repairs Technician to join our Property Repairs team at Paradigm Housing Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for carrying out plastering and rendering maintenance work in our tenanted properties, ensuring high standards and compliance with regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plastering and Rendering Maintenance: Carry out all plastering maintenance work unsupervised, ensuring high standards and compliance with regulations.
  • Material Application and Finishing: Apply and finish acoustic, insulating, and fireproofing materials bonded with plaster, plastic cement, and similar materials.
  • Plasterboard Installation and Finishing: Prepare, install, and finish plasterboard layouts, including levelling and straightening surfaces.
  • Decorative Finishing: Create decorative textures and finishes, ensuring a professional and uniform appearance.
  • Additional Maintenance Tasks: Perform additional minor maintenance tasks as required, contributing to a first-time fix whenever possible.
  • Record Keeping and Communication: Maintain accurate records of work completed and communicate effectively with tenants and colleagues.
  • Health and Safety: Comply with health and safety regulations and company policies, reporting any unsafe practices or conditions.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Relevant Qualifications: Relevant City & Guilds Part 1 & 2, NVQ2, or significant experience in plastering and related trades.
  • Experience and Knowledge: Apprentice trained or at least 5 years of experience as a Plasterer, knowledge of building regulations, health and safety standards, and industry best practices.
  • Driving License: Full manual UK driving licence.
  • Personal Qualities: Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to customer service, experience in rendering, and the ability to carry out additional day-to-day maintenance tasks.
