As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students to meet their milestones and achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized support to students with PMLD needs, promoting their social, emotional, and academic development.
- Work closely with teachers to develop and implement personalized learning plans, ensuring students receive the best possible education.
- Assist with classroom management, maintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment.
- Support students with challenging behaviors, using positive reinforcement techniques and de-escalation strategies.
- Collaborate with the teaching team to identify and address individual student needs, ensuring a holistic approach to education.
Requirements:
- Experience working with students with PMLD needs, preferably in a special school setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, teachers, and parents.
- Patience, empathy, and a calm demeanor, with the ability to manage challenging behaviors.
- Good understanding of child and adult protection and safeguarding guidelines.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach.
