Consultant Psychiatrist

Cygnet Health Care is seeking an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at Cygnet Hospital Woking. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide senior medical cover on Kahlo Ward, our 11-bed female mental health Acute service.
Key Responsibilities- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to patients
- Take overall responsibility for patient treatment plans, ensuring effective implementation and monitoring
- Assess referrals, undertake mental state examinations, and develop treatment plans in conjunction with the MDT
- Participate in ward rounds, clinical audits, and risk assessments to ensure high-quality patient care
- Supervise reports for Mental Health Act tribunals and managers' hearings, and attend hearings as required

- Registered on the specialist register (CCT/CESR), Section 12, and AC Status
- Experienced and knowledgeable in adult psychiatry and mental health diagnosis
- Knowledgeable of the Mental Health Act and Code of Practice, as well as the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and Code of Capacity
- A first-rate communicator with excellent assessment and treatment skills
- Committed to continued professional development and a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (MRCPsych)
